Stockton Cancer Treatment Center Receives Distinguished Accreditation

June 30, 2015

STOCKTON, Calif. – June 30, 2015 – St. Teresa’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, a 21st Century Oncology affiliate, has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in radiation oncology as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The cancer treatment center is now the only ACR accredited facility in Stockton.

The ACR seal of accreditation represents the highest level of quality and patient safety. Experts in the field perform a peer-review evaluation and award the accreditation only to facilities meeting specific practice guidelines and technical standards developed by ACR.

Patient care and treatment, patient safety and quality assurance programs are among the criteria assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Radiation Oncology Accreditation.

“Our facility strives to provide the best possible care for our patients and we are honored by this distinction,” says Dan Vongtama, M.D., Board Certified Radiation Oncologist with St. Teresa Comprehensive Cancer Center. “Our facility will continue to uphold the strict quality control standards that earned us the accreditation.”

St. Teresa Comprehensive Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art radiation oncology treatment center that offers cancer patients some of today's most advanced cancer treatments. The center believes that in order to treat the disease, you must begin by caring for the entire patient.  As a result, the staff is equipped to offer many services designed to care for the patient and their caregivers.

St. Teresa Comprehensive Cancer Center will hold the ACR Accreditation through June 2018.

The facility is located at 4722 Quail Lakes Drive, Suite B, Stockton, CA 95207.
