When Ashley Weinberg’s mother was battling small cell lung cancer in November of 2013, it took a lot to bring a smile to her face. That was until a group of girls handed her a bag of gifts during treatment. “This little girl donated baskets to cancer patients in lieu of getting anything for her 10th birthday, and my mother was one of the recipients of this generous child,” Weinberg said. “I remember the smile it brought to her face."
